Hello, I’m Eleanor Turino!

I write picture books for children.

I began my career in education as a reading and social studies teacher for fifth and sixth graders in Ocean Hill-Brownsville in Brooklyn, New York. After working as a children's librarian at a public library, I taught in an elementary school for twenty years as a School Library Media Specialist.

Needless to say, children’s literature was an integral and beloved part of my curriculum. These experiences led to the creation of my books.

I currently reside in a beach community in New York with my husband, Michael. In my spare time I garden, read, and travel.
